Steve 'hardcore pose'1

Sometimes we posed in "unautorized uniforms" to be sent home to the folks. I never carried a bayonet, grenades were always inside my pockets not "clipped on" the vest I made with 14 magazine pockets but gave it to Jimmie because I usually carried the M60. We always wore steel pots outside the wire..the Berets were just "cool" we thought. I did wear the knife on my left leg, however it was primaryily used to open coke cans.
